I was born in Dallas, Texas, and raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas. I graduated from John Brown University in 2011, where I majored in marketing and minored in outdoor leadership ministry. After graduating, three friends and I founded Agricultural Food Systems, a company focused on transforming the way food quality is measured, beginning with a product that predicts tenderness of beef. I am currently the Strategic Marketing Manager at Safe Foods Corporation, helping to create a safer food supply for the world. Our technologies are currently used to keep over 300 million servings of food safe each day.
In addition to my professional pursuits, I also have a passion for church and community involvement, leading the College and Career Ministry at Harvard Avenue Baptist Church for four years and currently serving on the Executive Board for the Westark Area Council of the Boy Scouts and helping to promote entrepreneurship education in Arkansas. In my free time, you can find me on some outdoor adventure (climbing, hiking, camping, etc) or buried in a book in a hammock or coffee shop.
